 First Annual Ellisras Media Awards On Heritage day, 24th September 2022, African Hypetalks in partnership with Jewels Sound Production and Thola Lessdi Foundation hosted the first annual Ellisras Media Awards event sponsored by Kwa-Tebza to recognize all the talent within the entertainment industry. Though there were alot of challenges faced with  putting the event together, the launch came out good. We had media companies such as JayM Magazine, Lephalale Magazine,catechism production, and Lephalale TV.  The event consisted of many activities such as performances, cultural group dance and award announcements. The goal was to empower and encourage more talent within the entertainment industry as well as appreciating it.  There were about 17 categories where one nominee managed to collect two of the awards and the following are their comments about the event and them winning. Positivity and believing in yourself goes a long way and to Mentor Mas they have helped him not only succeed but also grow as an artist. Mentor Mas is a Hip Hop artist from Lephalale Marapong and his music is all about growing other artists as well as himself. His music is to teach people to have faith in everything going on and learn to accept and how to react to situations. The bigger purpose is sharing the energy of Resilience and not forgetting to recognize the power of God. In both of his releases which are an EP and an Album he featured various artists. "Only to find out" EP was the first to be released this year April 12 which consists of 8 songs and features Hommie The Youngest, Ohricky Sheldon, Anole, Tron Vamp, Chapter, RyanRay and Gladwell. Lehlogonolo mokobodi is a 16 year old model from a small village in mokopane called Van wyk span and is currently residing in lephalale marapong.  She started modeling last year june where she managed to claim some titles  Though she had challenges where she could not afford clothes and had to ask from businesses around and also gaining votes she went on to persue her goal as she is determined to blossom and become a Queen who Will inspire others. Participating in competitions she won the title of Teen Miss inner beauty limpopo 2020/21. With her experience, she further became a kids beauty contest judge at the family fun day event which was held in seleka.
